Overhead console removal

Any of you guys removed the overhead console before. I want to hard wire my V1 radar detector in but don't want to break the console. These things are always a mystery getting off.

Thanks.

Your V1 Hardwire

I saw on another forum you were able to remove the overhead console without much trouble. What circuit did you tie into? I am assuming I can tie into one of the map light circuits.

Any advice? Thanks.

my dealer sent me a diagram once, i deleted.

on the back side of it, where it faces the back of car u pry between headliner and the plastic, the outer piece comes off first and then the main part "swings" down...

theres 3 clips hold it up, side facing the back of car.

I ended up running the wire down to the fuse box on the side of the dash. I purchsed a fuse doubler and plugged it in there. Hid the wires down inside the pillar.
