extended warranty
extended warranty
Hey guys,
Reading your posts has been great in helping me with ordering a Panny - my first Porsche. After waiting 3.5 months, the car finally arrived and it is every bit as good as I'd anticipated (so far hehe). No other four-door drives like it.
Question - should I get the extended warranty? It is offered as 7-year, 100,000 miles and covers parts and labor for the non-wear-n-tear stuff. Dealer also threw in some plan that covers the wheels and dings (I'm skeptical about this part).
Since Porsche offers a 4-year, 50,000 mile warranty, the extended portion basically covers 3 years and 50,000 miles, if I understand that correctly. I realize that the vast majority of Panameras are still under warranty, but you guys have experiences with other Porsches / MB / BMWs.
How has your experience been with the extended warranty? Is it fairly hassle-free? Are there hidden fine-prints that you discover only when something goes wrong? Would you buy it again?
