PCM is out

2800 miles on my new 2011 P4S and the PCM display/radio/nav/etc. went out last night. Restarted car... still no PCM. Besides going to the dealer, any ideas/thoughts?

My PCM was replaced 5 times withing the first few months of my car. I guess check the fuses?

But most important is takeit to the dealer asap and then document every repair and the timeline for future reference if you need it.

I have my PCM reboot on me once in a while. But comes back.

When I hit 10k and brought it in for service they said they upgraded the software, but not sure what version I am running.

My PCM was replaced. Apparently, when I hit the "Sport Plus" button to go back to "Comfort" mode, the switch caused a fuse to blow that shorted out the PCM. The new PCM was installed requiring the dealer to put in every "option code" into the system for it work right. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident and not indicative of the rest of the car. May be my car was built after some German Bier Festival....

In my P4 I had trouble with the volume in the sensors (barely audible). Dealer said it was a bad speaker in the cluster. The entire cluster had to be replaced. That took less than 30 minutes. But it required that ENTIRE car be reporgramed. This was done several times and altough the car seem to run find and everything seem to be working they kept getting a warning lights for the headlights (seem to be working OK). They tried all day to get the car reprogrammed and could not get it done. Have a call in to Porsche support to get some help. I did not realize the complexity of the computer in these cars! Wow. The entire care is controlled through the computer.

Let's see what happens on Monday!
