Lighted door sills - anyone install after delivery?

I was thinking of purchasing the lighted door sills from the dealer but they say it is rated at a 6 hour installation. Has anyone installed them themselves?

Thanks in advance.

Sinan is infamous around these parts
I had them installed at the dealer. I've been charged 6 hrs if I'm not mistaken. But the actual job took 8 hours, I was in there with the tech for almost the whole time. Very very very lengthy job to do. It's much shorter on the 911s since there is only 2 of them. On Panamera's all 4 of them are illuminated. I love them but again, labor is the real drawback not the parts.

If they were designed like the Mercedes ones, it does that long to install. Basically, you have to rip out the entire trunk lining and remove the back seats to run the wiring from one side to the other.
