I just read the manual and figured it out, so the tailgate height has been rest to my desired height.

FYI
with the tailgate closed, open to 2/3 of the OEM opening and press the button on the key for the tailgate and it will stop. Then you can Adjust manually to the height you want (up or down) and then press the button on the tailgate for 3 seconds and a sound will be heard. It has now be set to that height until you set it again.

I tried to do this, followed the instructions on the manual with no success on my 2010 Pan S. No beeping / confirmation sound. :-( Any ideas?

Page 30 of owners manual. The 2/3 is only an approximation, intended to interrupt opening of tailgate before it is fully opened. Part of process, so as long as you interrupt before it opens fully, you will be fine.

Followed the instructions to the letter. Couldn't get that beeping confirmation sound :-(

Do I experiment on putting the key into ignition 1 or 2 position or should the engine be running?

BTW, is there a way to close the tailgate using the button on the remote or the button on the door, coding perhaps?

Follow this:
- close and lock car, wait 10 seconds
- open car driver door
- close car driver door but keep car unlocked
- press the trunk button on hatch with your fob in hand
- as hatch opens, at about half way, press the trunk open key on fob (hatch will stop opening)
- adjust hatch to position you want (make sure to account for suspension height changes, so you dont bump into anything when car is lifted)
- after you set the hatch to position needed, press and hold the close trunk button (press and do not release for up to 5 seconds). You will hear a chime tone.

Messed with mine today. No key on me I used the button on the back of the car to open it. I stopped it with my hand on the way up, adjusted it to the desired hight and held the close button till I heard a sound. Tested it and its right where I want it.
Thanks for the insight

Ok, so finally got the time to do this over the weekend. Thank you! However, no confirmation chime or beeping sound for me. Its not really important as long as the height is set. My PanS is a 2010 v8.
