I highly doubt it; Porsche is a very well planned company and I am sure this question was already raised and crushed long before the GTS was released to us. It seems to have everything that many of the non-turbo owners wanted:

-sport exterior package (turbo)
-the "turbo" extendable wing
-sport exhaust
-AWD
-adaptive sport seats

And it costs a lot less than the turbo, but not a lot more than the 4S...
Germany 4S 104k euro, GTS 116k, turbo 140k

i swear i hate porsche. just as i'm accumulating the funds to purchase, they make me want one that will cost about $15,000 more.

sigh. time to go sell more blood.

read all about it on porsche website today. have to admit that i got really excited! will definitely plan to get one.

i still remember seeing the cayenne GTS commercial with the GTS red few years ago, and the rush when i drove one home...

it shall repeat again.

GTS Badging a Little Much
Having all four seats embossed with GTS symbols appears excessive.

Better to get a Used Turbo for the money!!

I'm liking this a lot. Looks like the interior is a $3500 option. $3800 if you include the alacantara wheel as well.

I'm not too crazy about the black headlamps on a red car. But other than that, I think I just found the replacement for my 2010 P4S.

Isnt the mid life cycle change coming in 2013? would you get a GTS or wait for the new bodystyle next year? It will probably come with the GTS engine as standard for the v8 models

Mid-model change will only be slight changes...like 997.1 -> 997.2 and every other example of a mid-model makeover.
