Electrical glitch

I've traveled 27,000 mostly trouble-free miles on my '11 v6. I had a failed shock, and a loose elbow rest. One thing that happened last week concerns me. I drove about 1/8mi from home, and the gauges shut down and came right back. Almost like they 'blinked'. No power loss, but concerning nonetheless. Has anyone had a similar experience?

How did you get the elbow rest fixed? You're talking about the center console lid right?

I actually meant the elbow rest on the driver's b-pillar. It got loose soon after delivery.

I noticed the exact same thing with mine a few weeks ago as I was cleaning the car...there was a noticeable space between the B pillar and the small elbow rest. I used force and pushed it in and it has been firmly attached and fine so far. As for your "electrical" issue, I'm thinking that it might have been the computer re-booting.
