2013 Dash clock retro fit
2013 Dash clock retro fit
Starting 2013, a dash clock is standard for those Panamers that do not have the optional Sport Chrono. Has anyone been able to retro fit this clock to previous models? I am going to check with my dealer. The Panamera is about the only car that lacks a center dash clock. It is a major overlook. Beside ordering this clock, I think you probably need to update the PCM software for the clock to work.
Oddly enough my car was in for some other service and I inquired about it - they said they would have to replace the gauge at a cost of $880 and then they weren't even sure if it would work. I told them that was an awfully pricey clock and passed.
What gauge are they going to replace? The dash clock occupies the place for the Sport Chrono meter, the dash clock is for those who do not have the Sport Chrono, they will need to replace the center speaker trim piece to install the clock. I will see how much my dealer charges.
Why would I get any rattles if it is done properly with all factory components? You probably just need to replace the center speaker grille, install the clock and run a cable to the PCM unit and update the PCM software. Of course they may charge an exorbitant price, in that case it may be cheaper to buy a Rolex and hang it there, haha.
