Black headlight housing installed
#16
my bodyshop said the chrome finish inside the housing is difficult to retain paint, and after breaking the housing, its also difficult to seal back to OEM level to prevent moisture etc.

Thanks for the heads up,I 'll probably get the samr answer from my body shop but I'll give them a call nonetheless.

I would not advise trying to take the headlights apart the seal is very difficult to redo and even the slightest opening will cause moisture. I tried to do this once and ended buying new lights. Most reputable shops will tell you not to even try!

I had a hi line shop do mine about 18 months ago and no problems at all. Owner said they do it all the time with these types of cars. I'll get some pics up it looks great and cost was $350.

And your car is a panamera as well?
#23
i sold my panamera. If anyone is interested in the OEM black headlights please PM me. Note that the auto leveling MIGHT not work, and gives a error message. Dealer refuses to investigate further as it was not bought from them. Im suspecting this is wiring issue or programming. But cant guarantee the leveling will work. Other than that it works fine.

Agreed. It's a Porsche not a Civic... buy the OEM lights.
