Defrost

On both the Cayman & the Panamera, when you hit the WINDSHIELD DEFROST button, you get a blast of HOT air to the windshield. This is quite uncomfortable on a 95 degree day. My dealer tells me all P cars do this. Sound right to you?

Why would you be using your defrost on a 95 degree day?

Maybe a better word, would be CONDENSATION. When you're driving in rain in the summer, it'll buidup on the windshield, starting at the lower portion.

I made the same inquiry with my dealer after experiencing the hot, high blast of air when I engaged the window defroster and was given the same explanation...normal, designed to quickly defrost/remove condensation. One of those things we have to live with I guess.

My Range Rover had real windshield defrost inside the glass. So useful!

Porsches unfortunately just give hot air to the windshield. I think most germans are the same way.
