I have a 2011 with the same color interior and don't have anything looking like what you are showing after 34k miles. I wouldn't say I baby the car, but I can't figure out how you are rubbing that spot on the handle unless you are resting your knee on it while driving.

I noticed that the driver side of the engine bay (top) recently that there is no plastic net or sort to stop leaves or twigs from going into the wheel arch. There is one on the passenger side of the engine bay. I asked my dealer and was told it is standard for all pana. There is no pastic net on driver side due to easier access to DME. Please see pictures. Mine is a right-hand drive pana. Please advise if it is the same for yours. Thanks.

Are you sure you've never had anything metal resting on that spot (which was then heated by direct sun)? It looks like something got hot and 'melted' it.

never no metal no magnify lens no spills , the engineer came in today from San Francisco he start with spilled coffee or used bad leather treatment chemicals then end up with nail polish theory .. if i spilled any thing there is noway will be clean and leave no marks like this,, there is obvious defect in the leather/vinyl what ever it its the glue start melting in the hot sun here in Fresno get up to 110 sometimes for 6 hours a day 6 days week look like these cars build to be stored in temp controlled garages

so finally after long discussions he looked at it again closely decided to honor the claim and the dash will be replaced
the car 20k mile so far they replaced
1- door panel and handle >>>>same leather defect start Waring
2- steering wheel <<<
3- instrument cluster lenses
4- x2 windos switches
5- GAS DOOR
From my experience first time owned Porsche comparing it with other cars like M6 JAGUAR XFR The panamer is poor quality .. im pissed
i traded im my wife X5 2012 to cayenne diesel 2013 now im regretting it

I feel your pain, but it seems like really bad luck, especially with so many interior problems.. I have had two Panamera's and have found the interior materials hold up well..

You mention Jaguar being better..? ... I have had a few recent Jags and there is no way that fit, finish and durability is better than Porsches. My Jaguar leather seats wore much faster than the Porsche leather.

There are a ton of Panameras in climates hotter than Fresno which never seemingly have these problems so it seems doubtful that all of these issues came from hot weather.. Do you have a car wash or detailer who might be using harsh chemicals on your interior??

On my second panamera, never had a problem. Sorry to here about yours. Personally i hate light tan interiors, show every scrape, scuff and dirt marks; plus my kids like to spill things, so black interiors only for me. I have only had full leather interiors on my panameras and they have held up fine. My cayennes both have that plastic leather look like yours only in black, it's been freaking hot this summer, no melting noted.

I could not agree more. I have Espresso all leather in my 4S and it shows absolutely no sign of wear. At the same time, I'm learning that the partial leather (black) in my Boxster S needs constant attention. In this connection, I have been using the leather care product I used in my BMWs...BMW's brand...with excellent results. It also provides UV protection.
