Rear wiper Problem

Does anyone know if the optional rear window wiper has a wash system with it. I just started to use the rear wiper and have held the switch down to activate the rear window washer, but nothing happens.

Thinking that maybe it does not have one. Front washers and headlight washers work perfectly.

I'll double-check, but I've never seen a rear wash feature on my 4S...just the wiper.

Just found out from the dealer that there is no washer on the rear wiper for the Panamera. Someone should clue Porsche in- there should be!

I wish mine did not come with it but it was a dealer's inventory purchase.

I tend to give it a second thought each time before I switch on the rear wiper as I do not want to make any dry wipe which can scratch the glass. I think the old design of the 911 that has the rear wiper parked vertically is better, since there is less chance of having sand/small pebbles sitting on the wiper blade when it is parked. I remember on our old Nissan Pathfinder, the rear wiper is slightly off the glass when parked, so the blade does not collect anything that can scratch the glass and it also will not stick to the glass due to icing.

The rear wiper is very handy especially when it is snowing. Because the glass is so slanted, it does collect snow quickly. And I don't think it looks all that bad.

you really are supposed to wipe the snow off before you move the car, so i just don't see the wiper being of any value gievn no fluid connection.

I disagree. Last week we had a snow storm, and all the cars were crawling. I had to use the rear wiper the whole time. I was laughing when I saw other drivers getting out to wipe off snow from their rear window.
