So went to the Porsche dealership and test drove the GTS again. Appears all onsite models have the Power Steering Plus option. Whats is the advantage of the option, its very low cost $270 so must be some downside.

 

You can do a search there are lots of opinions on this. I have a PTT and I ordered it that way. The option gives you lighter steering at slower speeds around parking lots etc. My wife loves the option. On the road the road feel is great, but some argue better without it. On the GTS it is great either way.

I would not get a Panamera without it. Others feel the exact opposite. So you will have to choose what you like. If you like it when you drive the car, there is no downside, since it is what you will be driving so you won't notice any difference versus not having it.

If you find a GTS you like buy it they are done building shortly and they will dissappear quickly. My guess is you will get your best deal now with some inventory still around and cars still coming. In 60 days inventory will disappear and the few left will got at stiffer pricing. You won't regret a Panamera purchase and a GTS is a great option.

on hwy very good feel at speed

must admit most options add more to the car than people think, and anytime you consider one, if you can swing it better to get than not

at the very least they add to resale price and ease

also look at all the posts of guys trying to retro fit this or that

I have had cars come with plenty of options I would have never gotten only to find out how much I really enjoy them

for example a heated steering wheel in florida or heated seats
still very nice on our "cold" mornings
