For the past few months I've been hearing a clunking sound when I accelerate from stop or low speeds. Finally took the Car into dealer and drove with him to show him the noise. We both thought it would be the exhaust. However, they are saying they put it on the Alignment rack and with only few feet of space they were able to accelerate and receate the noise while one guy under car. Noise coming from Rear Passenger side differential. They say theu took video and audio and will forward to Porsche to see what needs to be done.

Anyone have this problem?

Also Had PCM upgrade from 1.31 to 1.33 and now I have Defective Wiper Message. Never seen this before. What does it mean? Had my wiper blades changes by dealer last service.

 

I have a 2010 PTT, I don't have a clunk but I do get the occasional "shunt" from the rear from a stop or on downshifts to second coming to a stop.

 

They will most likely set you up with a remand rear diff under warranty.

 

Car got towed to the Dealer today. As I was about to pull out of the garage error message "Chassis System Failure". Started to smell slight burning smell. Put the car in park and heard weird hissing sputtering noise.

Called road side assistance and had it towed. Should I care about remanufactured differential? They said its coming from Germany.

Ok so I got the car back last night. The air compressor and associated relay and fuse were all bad and they overnighted a new compressor and changed out everything. After a calibration system is back to normal.

Now I just have to change out the rear differential in a few weeks.
