Jack slipped out while wheel was off

I was changing out to my winter wheels today and had the car up on a standard jack from my cousins Honda (since ours doesn't have one). Just took off my 22s and was about to put on the stock 19s when all of a sudden the car slams down. I assumed the jack slipped out for some reason.

The car looked as it was sitting on the brakes and the mud guard. I took it to get an alignment and the tech and I looked underneath and everything seemed to look fine. Ride seems normal.

Is there anything else I should be worried about?

Had a similar thing happened to me while trying to remove an exhaust on a s2000. Lucky for me I was not under the car but the fender had to be replaced. Nothing else effected so I wouldn't worry.

You guys are crazy. Never trust a scissor jack.

I guess I had to learn the hard way. Now I'm even scared to use a scissor jack to changed a fly tire.

My question is....could there still be something wrong with the car even though everything looks and feels normal? Just scared something might show up later.

It is emotionally disturbing that you saw and heard it hit the cement. Fortunately, unlike someone dropping a replacement heart on the operating room floor during surgery, the rotors are one of the strongest items on the car. Your Panny' will just schrug it off, and laugh at the possibility of something being warped or dented. That entire area is very strong.

Go enjoy your car! Treat her to a professional detail and it will be all good...
