Leave Car Running while filling up?
On all my other cars I used to let them run while filling up the gas tank, since owning the porsche's (last 3 years) the dealer has said not to do this as it will cause a check engine light. Since the temperatures are hovering in the single digits I find myself asking if this is really the case or could I be sitting on a heated seat, holding a heated steering wheel while filling up? I'm not looking for a lecture on the safety of this procedure, just wondering if anybody out there regularly leaves their car running while they are filling up and if so have there been any issues - thanks
The can cause a check engine light to come on becuase it senses an air leak. Most likely there is a check gas cap light. My wife's Acura has this come on and it cycles off in several dozen miles.

of course your results may vary!
To piggyback on what tonyep said the panamera is able to blow residual heat from the engine after it has been turn off for about 20 min into the cabin.I have done this many times filling up or just sitting in the car waiting for someone. It comes in handy and why waste gas idiling while i am waiting.
