US Spec '14 with EURO maps Question

Hello Gents,

I'm soon taking delivery of my Panny US Spec. The car is going to be shipped to Europe for a couple of months.

How easy or difficult is it to have EURO maps on the navigation?

I assume it's a simple process. When I configured the Panny months ago there was a Euro delivery option and it said that once the Panny was on US soil, the navi would be switched from EURO to US. I highly doubt Porsche changed the entire unit...

I just got back from a Euro delivery and Porsche offered to load Euro maps on my PCM for $300. I had a Garmin with a data slot so I just bought a Euro data card for $70 and it worked great while I was in Germany. If you have a Garmin and you will have the car in Europe temporarily I would buy the card and leave your PCM loaded with US maps. Save yourself $200.

Thanks for the info dubby.

I am surprised that they wanted to charge you for Euro maps. That's pretty outlandish.
However I would rather pay 300$ to have a clean cabin instead of having extra accessories ruining the ergonomics in the interior of a Porsche.
