4S Detailed

Had my wife's 4S detailed C.Quartz applied and and clear film installed on entire front end. Car came out great:

Love C.Quartz, paint looks awesome.

Guys at Signature Detailing and leeberbs Paint Protection in Hillsborough NJ do great work.

Thumbs up

Nice!

Can you please explain this: "clear film installed on entire front end". Is that the same as 'clear bra'.

Same thing. Clear bra is an old term that started when films first were used in place of car bras that only really covered the bumper and a small amount of the hood. Today people cover a lot more of the car. On the 4S I covered the bumper, full hood, both front quarter panels and both mirrors.

That turned out great! Do you have to run a front plate in NJ?

Are there any negative effects of thin film on the car paint? Also wondering if window tinting can be problematic too? Wanted to consider both for my car.

Thanks. Yeah we have to run front plates in NJ, although I considered just not installing it (I don't run a front plate on my R8). The main reason I didn't is when plate holder was removed it exposed 8, yes 8, screw holes in the bumper, so no BumperPlugs and a front plate was the choice.

Detailer would be better to comment, but in my experience only downside to film is paint fade in non-film areas when film is removed and I have seen film remove paint in poorly painted re-sprays.

Window tinting only issue I am aware of is over tinting based on local laws and being ticketed.
