Wheel fitment: Wide body vs Narrow

Starting to eye some wheels for the PTT. Came across a few sets that were on some 997s. One thing I keep noticing about them is that they reference a fitment style of "widebody" vs. "narrowbody". Anyone know which category we fall into?

Widebody as in an aftermarket body kit? Not really sure but stock body PTT you can run up to a 12" wide wheel on the rear (potentially even a 12.5" but that is max)...

Remember too they are staggered - ex: 9.5-10.5 front and 11-12 range in rear...

No as in Stock 997 cars. Apparently there are two body types for the 997 and both have different fitment types with regards to offset and size. I was wondering if one of them relates closely to our vehicles.

Yeah I think w/ the 997 - C4S and up was about 1.7 inches wider body vs standard... I'm sure someone else can comment on this that's more knowledgable here but if you are asking if those wheels would work on a panamera - I would highly doubt it.

wide body refers to the 4s and turbo/turbo s which have a wider rear end then a standard 911. I don't know for sure but I would doubt that offsets on a 911 would fit properly on a panamera

Technically not accurate. It depends larger on the offsets. For instance I figured out that I could run my winter rims on 19's staggered 9inch fronts and 11 inch rears. They came off a 996 turbo. As long as u know the offsets, u can use online offset calculators to help u determine if it will for or not. The bolt patterns are the same. If u do your do diligence, u will find that we can use 996,997,991, and cayenne wheels. Offsets and brake caliper clearance are most important.
