Here is a strange one, my car sometimes stays in gear too long, or drops down just like its in sport mode but it isn't. Putting it in park and back into drive sorts it out. Anyone had this? I've recoded it doing this and have mapped the speed against gear ratio and it's either one or two gear lower than when it's acting normal.

 

might be some ECU issue, bring it to your dealership

 

What do you mean you have recoded it?

 

I used my phone to record a video of the speed and current gear whilst my wife was driving. I have a 'normal' behaviour and 'abnormal' behaviour recoding. This enables me to demonstrate the issue to the dealer and show a speed v gear difference using a spreadsheet! It may sound obvious, but using your phone to capture theses things which are intermittant is a good way to prove there is an issue. Just got to get to the dealer for them to review.

 

Ohhh, you recordered it on a video. I thought you recoded the computer to a new tune.
