Looking for info
Thinking about a Used Panamera 4 or 4s. (Turbos and GTS are out of my price range)
My ? are what options should I be really looking for. Because it seems like no two cars are close to being alike.
I've drove a v6 & v8. I kind of liked the v8 but if the mileage is alot worse i could go with the v6.
What should I be looking for one these cars as potential problems? Both of the ones I drove were at a dealer with balance of warranty left. If i get one I'd have to get the warranty extended, what companies are the one's to go with? Dealer said Porsche only seems to like 2 but didn't say.
I've sold off 3 of my cars to make this purchase. Will be my daily driver. So kind of a big deal for me to spend this much on a single car so trying to cover all my bases. I tend to stay away from cars with expensive problems.
Any help would be great. Thanks

Newer Panny's are V6 Twin turbo's I believe.
Older ones Panny S/4S/Turbo/TurboS are all V8s,
IMHO I wouldn't do a regular V6 on these large heavy cars. and make SURE when you buy used get one that CPO'd ( or you'll regret it once the car starts having issues) or buy a very good extended warranty.

I purchased my '11 P4S pre-owned with only 1025 on the odometer and saved $22K and, after 2 full years as a DD and about 19k miles, it's hands-down the best car decision I've ever made. Must haves, in my opinion, are Chrono and PASM. I lucked-out and also got GT Silver and full Espresso with vented and heating seats all around. There are a bunch coming off lease now, so you should be in a good position.

Pasm?
Depends how you drive. 6's can be just as heavy on fuel or worse because you have to stomp on it to get the same result. Also do the math and calculate the real cost difference between 12 and 18 mpg for example. It may not be as bad as you think and the joy of a V8 could be worth the calculated extra cost...if any.
First figure out what you want, V6, V8 ,S then zero in and option shop! Options on these cars vary completely. If you can, take your time, find the options you want and get CPO'd car from a dealer for peace of mind. Good luck and welcome to almost porsche ownership!

Chrono Package provides launch control and "Sport" and "Sport +". PASM is Porsche Active Suspension Management...a variety of ride settings from "comfort" to "Sport +". There are such a diverse variety of options that you really owe it to yourself to take a few test drives to experience, understand, and appreciate them.

Thanks for letting me know to look for these options.

I drove the v6 & the v8 about 3 weeks apart, but I agree the V8 panny seemed to get up and go much better.
I was looking at a few private owner ones yesterday online and agree the CPO warranty is a must.
I would pony up for the S in any variant.
The S has more standard equipment like Xenon headlights, PASM, bigger brakes, power hatch etc.....
Once you find a S, I would narrow it down with Bose, PASM with air suspension upgrade, heated and cooling seats...
A few nice features would be the full leather interior, 4 zone climate control instead of the 2 but definitely not a deal breaker.

Ive seen a few with the 4 zone, but not a deal breaker for me because both my kids are still in car seats, but would like for them to be at least heated for misc passengers.
Did find a 2010 turbo with almost everything at top of my price range but it's blue not my first choice of color. Alot of decent private owner ones but most are out of warranty.
Why did this get moved???
I was asking for info on what I should look for in a Panny not for someones personal car. In this forum section it will not help me at all getting my ?'s answered.

Then maybe you shouldn't have titled your thread "looking to purchase" as that sounds like a want to buy to me and those must be posted in the marketplace...perhaps "looking for info" would have been a better choice
Thanks for fixing it for me
After looking this morning. Agree S is a must.

Tony gets it. Most cars with independent temp settings for passenger and driver front and back is still a 2 zone because they don't have the seperate HVAC... Porsche is one of the frew brands that has real, functioning 4 independent temp settings....
