Panamera Turbo Reprogramm

Hi Guys I'm new to this forum and have learnt tons from you guys. Well I just heard from my dealer that my 2011 PTT needs to be brought in to be reprogrammed. He says it's not a recall. Anyone know of this? Thanks.
Oh btw I got my PTT in April of this year, black on black, sports chrono, burmester with 6k miles. To say she's awesome would be a huge understatement. I was an M5 guy until I drove the PTT in March of this year. WOW!!!!

Welcome! I also came from an E60 M5 to the PTT. Miss the high revving redline, but this is a whole new level of fun.

I know they have been updating the DME's to a newer software version, presumably to fix certain issues with drivability, performance and the like. Nothing to worry about, as this is very common from what I see in the DME's coming here.

I had this done on my car when it was in for service a few weeks ago - it's not a "recall" it's an "open service campaign" exactly what the difference is I have no idea -

I had my 2012 PTT at the dealer this morning for another reason and they did the software update. It feels quicker off the line, but I have no data to support that.

Interesting. I'd assume they're addressing the "lag" that you feel in comfort mode. Thanks for your input man. My appt is in two weeks so we'll see. Just out of curiosity did they offer you a "loaner" and how long did you have to wait?
My guys here are saying they're not reimbursed for a loaner for this service....

To be honest I was a little surprised myself. CPO to March 2018.

I had the oil changed and they did the reprogram at the same time. I did not want a loaner I waited and checked out the toys in the showroom.
It took about 2 1/2 hours.
I am convinced the car is quicker in sport mode, it sure feels it.

I wound up with a 2011 with 12.5k miles. Was surprised to find such a low mile car.

That's pretty good man. I find the PTT that has low mileage, sports chrono, and black fetches a much higher price. Low mileage is probably most valued. Was it CPO?
