any upholstery experts in the house?

Hey folks. I am currently looking at a used panamera and was wondering if anyone has an idea of what might be causing this issue I am seeing on the rear passenger seat. It looks discolored but can't figure out if its some kind of water damage or something else.
the seats are of the heated/ventilated sort and I have no idea if that would cause problems down the line.
Anyone care to provide some guesses as to what this could be?

Its not coming through as well when posted but i am referring to the third seat cushion panel closest to the seat back. You can see about half way into it it is darker, like a dark brown stripe.

Hard to see. Got a close up? Is this on both seats?

Unfortunately i dont. The dealer said they will have their upholstery guy clean them next week then send pics so i will try to post when i receive better ones. From this one do u have any ideas? I was more worried that it could indicate some water damage or something more nefarious that the dont want to tell me

looks like a spill or something wet was left there and seeped into the leather. If you remove the seat bottom you should be able to tell from the underside. You have to press in the two tabs in the front underside and lift up the bottom. Given the color of the leather it is going to be hard to get it out.

I see the discoloration. I would say that something spilled onto the seat. A good leather cleaner might clear it up. If not, it would not be a deal-breaker for me as long as the heating and cooling features are working.

Yes, imwas thinking it wouldnt be a deal breaker too. I have never had seat wit ventilation so wasnt sure how the system works. Does it route a/c from the main front unit through the center console and under the seat or is there an individual blower unit under the seat that can be damaged if something spills through the seat cushion?
