TT vs. TTS exhaust note

I have had my heart set on a used GTS, because of the intoxicating exhaust note, but I'm having a hard time finding one with all the options that I want. Finding a properly-configured TTS is actually easier, given that they are usually optioned to the hilt. However, the addition of turbos messes with the sound.

I have driven a few TTs, and one with the sport exhaust, and found them to be quite bland. I have driven one '14 TTS, and it was a completely different beast entirely. Lots of noise and growl. Some gurgling, which I wasn't too fond of, but really a much more involving driving experience from the TT, which I liked.

But I have not noticed anyone else talking about this difference between the TT and TTS, so I have started to wonder if maybe the one I test drove had a modified exhaust. If I got a '12 TTS, how would the driving experience compare to a TT?

I don't know the difference as I have not driven a TTS. I will mention there was a body style and other differences in 2014 so don't expect a 2012 to be the same as a 2014.

Pre-2014 to post 2014 have different sport exhausts. 2014 is louder.

Porsche updated the sport exhaust during the facelift so any MY14+ PTT/S which the PSE option is going to sound louder compared to a <MY13 PTT/S, factory sport exhaust-wise.

What others have said, MY14+ TT/TTS with PSE sound the same.

If you do go pre 2014, nothing that an aftermarket exhaust can't fix if you are looking for a deeper more aggressive tone!
