Test driving a 2012 Panamera turbo S today
Hey there, I have a 2012 Panamera base engine and have decided I wanted to upgrade some and thinking of trading it today for a 2012 turbo S with 14k miles. I found a dealer close by who has the exact car I love in the right color with the right options.
Any issues with this car that anyone knows? Will I have to replace the brakes and rotors more often in this car? and is it safe to assume that the tires will wear out sooner?
Any input would be appreciated including suggestions on a price.

Brakes will wear out faster because you'll likely be stopping harder from driving faster. The rear tires will go out quicker if you love to stomp on the right pedal for some hard accleration. Other than that, pretty much the same. All depends on driving habits.
It's a rock solid car. Just get the cpo or some form of insurance. That's the price you pay for making sure you can get out of a hole. The likelihood of getting into a hole is slim if you know what kind of car you are getting into. So do your homework, get it cpo'ed and enjoy the beast.
Tires brakes regular maintenance that is operational cost. More than other cars. Remember this car is not for everyone.
Tell you a story this Friday while my car was parked one family was adoring my ptt. Five minutes later another family was saying what an ugly car. Turns out the family that was adoring it had a Porsche Cayenne turbo and they had a sense of what the ptt could do. I couldn't find out what the second family was experiencing as part of their transportation solution lol.
So you see your appreciation is based on knowledge and experience. Since you have already experienced the base you are ready for the next step. I went thru a similar experience. Had a 4s and 5 months later I switched to a ptt. Paid a heavy price but no regrets.
Fwiw...

Thank you for your input guys. I drove the car yesterday at the dealer and must say that the turbo S may be the fastest car I have ever driven. The acceleration is awesome, and I was at 95 MPH before I even pushed the gas pedal half way. So yes, it is one fast car.
With that being said, the dealer here was nit picking the heck out of my car. They were mentioning some rock chips on the car, and the very common scratches on the rear center console area. Both very common in these cars especially with 27k miles. It started to annoy me, but I think we were finally able to work out a deal. I didn't get quite what I wanted for mine, but I never do.
They have to do some final things to it tomorrow (replace new front tires, brake flush, and touch up), and should take delivery Tuesday. I can't wait.
Thanks for all your input.
