Brakes squeaking on 2012 turbo S..normal or not?

I just picked up a used 2012 turbo S 3 days ago, and before I left the dealership, amongst other things, the salesperson told me that I may experience frequent noise/squeaking coming from the brakes. He told me it was due to a buildup of brake residue and suggested I get up to about 70 MPH and then brake hard to get rid of the residue which should reduce/eliminate the squeaking.

I have noticed that the brakes do indeed make noise often. It is almost noticed every time I brake. It is a bit annoying, but not bad. I called the service manager this morning and he told me the same thing the salesperson did and also told me that is more common in the cooler weather.

My question to all of you is.. do you think this is normal and do all of you also experience similar noise?

Oh.. I forgot. The brakes and rotors have 80% left according to the CPO examination.

Samp is infamous around these parts
I have been told the same thing. It kind of works. I had my10 P4S and had the brakes replaced at about 15,000. My MY14 PTT has 10,000 and no problems. I do make sure I break hard once in a while to keep it all cleaned off.

It's a common problem with performance cars in general if you aren't pushing them hard. I read a fairly extensive thread on in a while back on Planet 9 in connection with Caymans.
