I finally did it!!

1001 miles between tank fills with 60 miles still to go per the computer. Took 19 gallons to fill up. Plugged in every day after work. Not bad I tell you.

That's crazy. Congrats.

I made it a few miles short of 700 on the last tank (and I thought that was doing pretty great). Didn't go quite as deep as you did into the low fuel light.

I don't have the benefit of two charges per day. And the commute is 23 miles each way.

If I do some cocktail napkin math, if I could charge on both legs, I get a theoretical 1030 to the same level of empty as I had on my last tank.

I've actually made some significant changes to the driving strategy in the car, and I believe that it's yielding decent results. And still allowing me to use the Sport mode for a portion of the trip.

Congrats again.

My previous fill on my Cayenne SEH was with just a hair over 700 miles on the tripometer...and I was just short of the fill light coming on...so probably could have made it another 50-60 miles before running on fumes. My average MPG on that tank was an amazing 38 mpg.

I use Fuelly to track my mpg...you guys should check it out.

That's pretty cool. I don't know that I'll ever come close to that. I seem to be on track for more like 700 miles on my current tank.
