Please explain the "North American Edition" package

I have found several of these 2016 "north american edition" GTS models at several dealerships. From what I understand, this is primarily a cosmetic upgrade (carbon fiber, stitching, front lip, etc)? I noticed that these cars don't have Lane departure warning, heated steering wheels, and no sunblinds either.

Any input to explain this package would be helpful and appreciated.

This option adds like $15-20k to the sticker as well, which is probably why so many are still around.

Thanks in advance.
