defective wiper light

When I started my panamera the defective wiper light came on. What needs to be done to fix. Will new wiper blades helpd ?

I highly doubt it would detect deteriorated wiper blades. That would be cool though. I would think it would be something to do with the Auto Sensing Wiper Module on the windshield

I have the exact same issue

I have also been getting the defective wiper message. The wipers appear to work normally, just the message.

Are both of your sensors working appropriately to turn on/off the wipers in the rain? Have you tried to diagnose it outside of here?

Yes, the rain sensor works fine

In my case, the rain sensor works fine. The sensitivity adjustment also seems to work normally.


The only indication of trouble (besides the message) was that the wipers would occasionally not respond to the movement of the stalk. This has cleared up and now works normally,


Also, I have a full charge on the battery from regular trickle charging.
