Buying base model then upgrading parts?

So I am looking to buy my first new car which I plan on being a 2017 Panamera, I've seen some lower costing Turbos that are less than Panamera 4S models so my question was If I was to jump on a turbo that I would assume would be minimum everything in it, is it hard or possible to get the options that could be put on the model if building through the site or dealership?

For example car exterior color painted rims, electronics, exhaust system. Would the costs still be the same as listed on the site build option?

upgrading after the fact will be impossible on some options and extremely expensive on others. In addition the resale value will be dependent on what the car came optioned with from the factory not what you've added. My advice would be to wait till you can afford what you want, or live with the fact that certain things will make no sense to add

I wont have a problem being able to afford the version/options that I would like, but I just thought it would be a better move to save the 20k or more(the deal I had seen) and just get the options after if possible. I didnt think about resale value though, although as long as its options for that model and they are factory, would that hurt the resale?

Original plan was to get a Panamera 4S with the options, then seen a turbo cheaper than the 4S with options lol. Im still holding out for a little as I know the 2018 Panameras have been reviewed so I imagine they will hit dealers soon so maybe around holiday seasons they might have incentives and I can get more options than I originally wanted with the savings.
