Atlanta Delivery.... Any Thoughts
Atlanta Delivery.... Any Thoughts
A few weeks ago we ordered a Panamera 4 for my wife. I saw in the configuration site that you could opt to take delivery in Atlanta. It seemed intriguing that they take you out on the track with your car. My wife really wants to do it, but I have some reservations.
Firstly, the expected delivery date will be in January. We live near Boston and the thought of driving through salt laden roads on the trip back doesn't thrill me (we're keeping her Jag so the Panamera wouldn't have to see snow). Secondly, I would rather have a clear bra installed here by people I know rather than down in Atlanta. I'd hate to take a chance of a thousand mile trip without getting a chip or two.
I was wondering how special the Atlanta delivery was and is it an experience we shouldn't pass up. Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

I took delivery of a 2018 4s last month in Atlanta and had a great time, highly recommended. They make you feel real special the entire day, put alot of effort into the unveiling, will take pictures for you. Also get a $100 credit at the restaurant which has excellent food.
And you won't be driving your car but rather an equivalent on the track. I don't think they have a base 4 there so you might upgraded to a 4s for the experience.
I also paid extra and got track time in a GT3 and 911 turbo S.
I drove back to Indiana got a full clear bra wrap afterwards. There was one minuscule paint chip that was easily corrected prior to the wrap.
