new to panamera- few questions
Hey all, new to the panamera just started driving a 2010 panamera s and i had 4 questions for the board where i couldnt find an answer on the panamera manual:
1) the navigation is frustrating, on the porsche navigation when searching addresses most of the keyboard is greyed out and not letting me enter my complete address, it just lets me enter a few characters and then it gives me a list of entries to select but the list is very limited and many times it doesnt show the address i am trying to find....why is it doing this? i couldnt even find my local porsche dealer because it didnt let me search the full address. Am I missing something with this why doesnt it just let me enter in the full address without greying out the letters/numbers on the keyboard??? Do I need a navigation update?
2) so i setup my preferred seating/steering wheel/side view mirror settings and then i press SET and the number 1 and it saves it for access later but then when i exit car and return back to it with the same key it seems to revert to some other settings and i have to press and hold the number 1 button on the door each time to get it back to my preferred settings, why is this?
3) Is it normal for the PDK not to be smooth in stop and go traffic or in panic stops/quick acceleration from a standstill? would changing PDK oil help this?
4) Finally I notice the overhead light unit with all the buttons on the roof is a little loose and not tightly secured to the roof. i also notice a rattle when going over bumps and such and i believe it may be due to this loose head unit, is this common for the 2010 panamera?

1. Make sure the country and state are entered first.
2. Look in the booklet and see if the car is set for exit settings which means it moves seat and wheel back for exit. I shut mine off thru the dash menu somehow. That being said it should revert to setting 1 when you start car.
3. should be smooth. I know there have been some re flash updates but you d have to check with dealer.
4. I ll guess on this one and say take off light cover and maybe bulb and see if there is a screw loose behind. Some cars just have clips and maybe someone broke one.
