Panamera 2010- Common issues and aprox costs?

hey all on a panamera s 2010 what typical issues are there and the associated cost? my understanding is the bolt issue for the engine (now has a recall so that should be fine), possible suspension issues, something about a burst coolant pipe? anything else that is a common issue for the 2010?

im trying to determine whether to get a 3rd party warranty for 3500 for 3 yrs (they will prob try to use aftermarket parts) or just create a slush fund.

anyone who has a 2010 id love to hear your maintenance thus far

thanks all/

I also have a 2010 (although mine is a turbo) that I bought earlier this year w/ 29k miles on it. I was able to confirm that the cam adjuster bolt recall work was completed along w/ other recall items. I did an oil change at 35k miles and so far the car has not had any issues or problems to speak of.

I decided against an extended warranty, having purchased them on several prior cars and always trying to break even or to get my money back. I'm just putting that $$ into a repair fund for that inevitable day when work is needed.

I think the turbo will have higher maintenance and repair costs, but I've also had several mechanics tell me that Porsche puts more effort into their turbo cars and they are more robust vehicles. I had a 911 for 10 years and it was the most reliable car I've ever owned, so that experience has influenced my PTT ownership. Best of luck w/ your decision.

2011 PTT here. Owned a 996TT and it was flawless with the exception of the occasional spoiler warning which they are known for. Fantastic car!

I did get the cam recall letter recently and waiting for parts to be available to remedy that. PO had front air strut replaced but other than that the car is exceptional and by far my favorite sedan ever. insanegarage.com is a good Panamera source.

Find the right car with the right maintenance history and create a slush fund.

thanks for the replies, what is the spoiler issue you speak about? i keep my spoiler up all the time, is that not recommended or is it more prone to giving issues if you constantly raise/lower the spoiler?

have either of you guys or anyone else had issues with the front suspension creaking over speed bumps? or does this only happen on the air suspension equipped vehicles?
