notice, not expectantly for an 8 year old car , that some of the electrical tape was coming undone.
one connection had a rather sharp 90 degree bend in it, not a good thing for wires generally
Found this tape - claims to be used by several German auto manufactures and high heat resistant
redid and added some extra braided cable sleeve, which helped reduce the angle on the one connector
there was another one, but it was very hard to see and really hard to get too, so i didn't try to document it.
just notice the version they sent is different from the version ordered 51036 vs 51026, however they are both engine compartment tape with a 300F rating and high abrasion resistance - not sure what the difference is.
looking at the Tesa website the one I got is actually stronger than the one ordered (tensile strength) 150 lb.-in vs 24 lb.in
many thanks, buddy. just placed an order from amazon, will tape all the loose wires on my BMW X5. My 2016 PAN is still under warranty, i will tell my FJ Porsche to tape the loose wires if I see any.
