Different size rims front and rear (21-22)

Hi,
i recently purchased a 971 ST TS e-h, and have been investigating rims for next year’s set of summer wheels. The car currently has 21” sport design summer and 21” sport design winter rims. As the GT3 and GT2s have come with larger rims for rear than front, I was thinking of running 21” front and 22” rear, of course trying to keep the overall diameter of the wheel intact. Has anyone tried this, or seen any challenge of doing it?

The current setup is a great setup for “comfort” vs performance, but the rear wheels almost appear “small” (never thought that would be said about a 21” rim) in the rear wheel arch, so that has sprung the idea. I don’t really think 22” in front would be ok with the condition of the roads where the car is driven

Those cars aren't GT3/GT2. I would advise against running different diameter wheels front and rear.

It should be ok to do so, as long as the tires maintain the same rotational ratio from front and rear. However, different diameter rims from front to rear wasn't my cup of tea on any car. Just IMHO

If it’s new that will void your warranty on any tranny, suspension issues...
