Rear main seal

Hello! Does anyone know if there is a way to repair the rear main seal without dropping the transmission on 2012 Panamera Turbo?

I'm assuming you have some sort of leak? First check/verify it isn't something more simple like the drain or fill plugs. They are supposed to be replaced with new ones whenever the fluid is drained and refilled as far as I know.

make sure its not leaking from a PCV hose near back of engine up top like mine was. it connects to both valve covers. hose/plastic tube is like 140 bucks. i would say yes the trans has to come out. i havent done one yet tho.

Please see the pics above - the techs at the local dealerships have been looking into it for a couple of months now -they seemed to be confident - its a main seal leaking. I was just hoping for a trick to get this repaired without removing the transmission....

Not possible.

In order to locate the leak, the belly pan needs to be removed and all the oil cleaned off. Then drive it for short time and check again. Oil travels a long way on an engine block at speed.
