Panamera 4 front driveshaft flange play
Panamera 4 front driveshaft flange play
Hello, and Greetings from Finland!
I purchased recently a my 2011 Panamera 3.6, and I have been pretty happy with it. It's driven only 104,000 kms (64 k miles), and is in pretty good condition.
However, when I studied it on a lift, I found a bit weird play at the front left driveshaft. The play is not in the driveshaft itself, but the flange at the engine end moving. Please find a video (sorry for the quality...) of it here:
There is no noise from the bearing and no other symptoms either when driving the car.
I took the car to the local Porsche workshop, and they couldn't tell if this is normal either. So, does anyone have any experience if this is normal or not? Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Jari
