New battery - installed

Where is the best place to get a quality new Panamera battery? The dealer is expensive but I've read the battery is made by a company starting with V.

My 2012 4 has it's original battery and didn't start today, it cranked really weak. I think I should just replace it. The Porsche dealer is over 2 hours away so is there an alternate model of battery I could get? The VW dealer is about a half hour away.

Canadian Tire does not have a listing so that's out. I guess this is a bit of a specialty.

I also have a iCarSoft POR 2.0 so I intend to use that to tell the car about the new battery. Thanks.

I called the local battery supply shop, they have a group 49 AGM in stock. So that seems to be what I need, I will likely buy from them.

Battery that comes with car is a Varta. I believe Costco has the correct replacement battery too. Can buy on-line and get shipped to you.

I found an Energizer brand from Costco, it seems to have the same specs as the local one but with a better warranty.

I have the charger on the car now, I'll leave it overnight and see what happens in the morning and go from there.

Well my car wouldn't start again this morn. I replaced the battery with an aftermarket group 49 AGM battery from the local battery supplier ($219+tax CAD). They tested my old battery and it was done for, couldn't even provide 200A and it's rated for 850+.

I have an iCarSoft POR v2.0 so I programmed the battery with the following settings:
- Size: 92Ah (it wasn't marked on the battery but that's the normal replacement size for my car)
- Manufacturer: Reserved1 since it's a no-name brand
- Serial #: MLA188J11J (I just used the default serial and changed two digits)
- Part #: PP.915.116 (I just used the default part and changed two digits)

Now my auto-stop works which is nice and the car runs good. Problem solved.

Marc13190 is infamous around these parts
Yes it's good. Change only serial number is very good. Part number is not important you can put the same
