Johns Hopkins Car Show 2005 - Baltimore, MD
1st Annual Johns Hopkins University Car Show
When: April 30th
Where: Baltimore, MD
What: First Annual Johns Hopkins/Spring Fair Car Show
Just wanted to post this up over here to let everyone know about an awesome event that is coming up. If you're from the Baltimore area, you probably already know what Spring Fair is but if you're not, I'll give a brief description. Its a massive festival held on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University which features everything from craft sales, food, carnival rides, bands, a beer garden, games, and other attractions. Its an all day thing and TONS of people show up.
This year, I've managed to organize a car show to take place on the main parking lot on campus. Its dead center in the middle of everything... absolutely excellent location. I want to bring a wide variety of cars and I'm limited to only 100 vehicles on display but that should be enough. So, please, if you're interested in attending, reply to this thread!
There will be a minimal fee of $15 of which half will go to making next year's show better and the other half will go towards Tsunami Relief Funds. If you arrive as a group of three, then the registration fee is $5 per person in that group of three. It be in your benefit to round up as many people as possible. PRE-REGISTRATION will be required because pesky university administration is requiring me to have a count of the cars that'll attend ahead of time. I'm trying to organize goody bags for those who participate to include vouchers for free food and admission to the beer garden (for NON-drivers!). Obviously parking is free which is already a HUGE value. Also, trophies will be bought and handed out to people who win certain categories to be determined and, if all goes according to plan, there will also be a few vendors on hand.
SO! If you're interested and you're not too far away from Baltimore, MD post up a reply! I've posted about this on alot of forums and I really want a great showing from you guys. I was at that NJ meet a while ago and was absolutely floored with the amazing turn-out. I would hope that will all the stuff going on during the day, this would be a great time for everyone and their families as well.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about the show and its orgnization. A schedule is being authored shortly and will be circulated to all those interested in coming.
