I am glad I could host the video and do a favor for someone and I would have hosted it again if someone sent it to me. I just get annoyed when i have to jump through loops to host a video for someone.

Hell if someone even PM'd me and told me to get the vid I would have asked seb for it, but now I guess not. I didn't even have to take it down in the first place considering it's public domain.

It is public domain, but since we're getting into specifics, since the video shot is going to be used and sold in a dvd for profit, isn't a release form needed for those that appear in the video? I chose not to appear in the video, and asked that it be taken down at that point.

I am no lawyer but if i am correct it doesn't matter what its shot for. Hence the reason of the success of Girls Gone Wild.

And yes I am a supra owner talking about rice. As in ricey mods that create noise or change the appearance of the car without increasing horsepower, handleing, etc.

As for my Supra yes I was built by a Japanese company but:
1) Its faster than a lot of Porsche's
2) Its 11 Years Old and Probably still in better condition than your porsche.
3) To really see what my car has I need race fuel. Last time I checked a Porsche with an exhaust didn't.

 

After talking to friends that are in the business and have actual experience with this, the release is needed, hence the reason for their existance.

I guess 99% of the Porsche owners on the board are driving around some pretty expensive rice... Gee, I guess you're right, maybe I should get rid of my 04 that's in "worse condition than an 11 yr old Toyota. " I find it hard to believe that every mod you have done to your Supra is strictly for performance. but hey, if it is or if it isn't, it's your car, your freedom to do what you want to your car... I'm not looking to get into a pissing match over who's car is faster or ricer like you want to. All I wanted was to get the video edited with me out of the video. I asked nicely and get attitude for that... either way, I'm done with this "discussion"

Oh yeah about this... like I said I am not a laywer but from research I have done in the past. "If the event took place in public then it is understood that there is no level of privacy. There for no release is needed."

This is the reason why soo many business make money Girls Gone Wild, Tabloids, etc. You can asked to be removed from the video but the photographer does not have to honor your request if no tresspassing, breaking and entering, etc has occured.

Like is said I am no lawyer so someone else might give a better explaination.
