84 cars at an average length of 15 feet = a line just about 1/4 mile long. Add in some "safe distance" between when on the highway (say five lengths for discussion sake) = 7560 feet = 1.43 miles. Thats a big group of cars !!

Just started preparing the car for the trip to CA. Just a quick wash and interior vacume. I will have to do a better cleaning of the exterior after I get to the Bay area tommarow night. See you all bright and early saterday morning. Tyler

 

While I realize the 'drive' leaves Carlsen Porsche in just 44 hours,
I thought I'd ask IF there was anyone that would be traveling
back towards Carlsen after the lunch in Carmel?
So that I could get back to my own '73 914 for my trip home to
Modesto.

I'm looking for somebody who would be driving by themselves of course, who wouldn't mind a passenger for the trip. I've got a couple of the two-way radios if that helps!

and while pretty much any 911 model would do, I certainly cherish the opportunity to ride in a 993 or 996 TT.

BTW, can someone film the event? b/c I believe a lot of board members who can't participate would really love to see them, and that includes me.

The meeting is huge, 6 GT2, 2 Turbo Cab, 24 Turbo and not to mention about the rest... gosh... ~><~

I hope the LA meet is going to be as big as this one...

I live just across the Bay from Carlsson, and could drop you back off there.

Unfortunately, however, I cannot offer you a ride in a 993 or 996 TT (hey, I would not mind riding in one of those, either!). I'm sure there will be lots of open seats during the tour, and you should be able to ride different stretches with different people and cars, if you like.

Worst case you will ask for another ride in a 928 next time...

 

If you can't get a _fun_ ride back, you're welcome to ride back in the truck with me.
