Seattle Drive - Feb 24th
Yeah the rain doesn’t matter, I forgot Porsche made *** backwards Audi's too. I’m thinking about going and getting some doughnuts right now. Which reminds me, choose the roads carefully, because cops suck. Maybe I should save a few for the road incase I need a bribe.
wow, sweet video. Where is that? Those boys were driving! I thought that was a one way road until they nearly side-swiped that first car.
I'm on call this weekend, so I won't be able to go more than a couple hours away from Tacoma. I'll plan to meet up where ever. Are most of you coming from Seattle? Maybe we should meet at the supermall again in front of the Starbucks?

Lago di Garda over in Italy. If you have ever been over to Mission ridge then you have an idea of what type of road that is. Maybe we should go over there some time. It’s only a small drive away from Wenatchee. I can check ahead of time to see if the roads are clean and have decent pavement. Mountain passes are fun, but if there’s any sand residual leftover from winter it can be dangerous.

The Training Gulf GT3 is another cool one.

Carjeda and me just got back from checking out some roads. He has been telling me about this crazy road out in the middle of nowhere. It was the best road tight twisty road I’ve scene in western Washington. I guess it’s a hot spot for some sport bike guys too. It’s around Snohomish out in the farmlands, no worries about speeding tickets. It’s my vote. If you want to meet up somewhere south, like the Starbucks in south center that would be fine. We could get over to I-5 north, skip over 90 and the floating bridges, to 405 north, back to 5 north and up to the secret spot. I don’t like driving on one highway for too long, that’s why I suggest the skipping from 5, 90, 405 and back again.
It will have the least traffic early in the morning. The earlier the better. This spot is just turn after turn with a lot of different high and low speed spots and elevation change. It is a dangerous road and passing is a no no in a certain section. That’s why we should go early, and if being tired is an issue, coffee and some adrenalin should wake you up.
I’m hoping I can find all my 2way radios, hopefully there not over at my cabin. That would be the best way to communicate.

Good updates. How about that Starbucks? Unless it's backtracking from our destination. Lets decide that first. If we go to the coast, Rest Area in Federal Way might be more convenient.

Good Morning! I'm curious who's going to decide where we drive this Saturday and the time we leave. I definately think we should leave in the A.M., for sure if we drive south to the coast. It sounds like some may opt to cut out early due to obligations. Driving to the coast may not be an option for them since it's one way for 3 hours, unless they want to drive out and back.
I think we should determine a route, a time and who is coming for sure, so we can make a plan. I'm open to where we drive. I am partial to the north end, since I drive and ride these roads regularly.
We should also decide on what type of driving we want to do. Fast cruising? Fast twisty stuff? Or a combination. I'd rather do a combination as opposed to cruising down the freeway for a long time. I don't mind, but it's so much fun doing track time on empty country roads with some cruising included.
I'm willing to organize the drive with maps, a schedule and hopefully some 2 way radios. Who has radar that is going?
It is Wednesday........we should nail it down. Feel free to call me if anyone has any questions about driving north. 206.930.8967.

Good morning....it sounds like Southcenter by the Bahama Breeze would be a good place for us to meet. Supermall is a bit too far South for me especially if we're going to head to Snohomish.
Let's meet at 9 am Saturday morning and go from there. We could even have lunch afterwards somewhere in Monroe or something?

Sounds good........but I'm not opposed to going where the group decides. 9am is a good time. Let's see what idea's the other's have and we'll decide as a group.
The Woodin/Monroe is just a short section and if we go north, we can possibly head out to LaConner and have lunch. Good food and very cool roads on the way out.

Saturday morning at 9:00am sounds good to me as well. I like the sound of the "secret road" up North. Coastal drive is out for me. So, South Center in front of Bahama Breeze? I'll let the Gig Harbor guys know as well.
Quick story about the secret road. 19Krpm and I decide to go drive the SR about 9pm last night. We're cruising along at the start of the SR and come up on a 18 wheeler and think,"This sucks!" We follow him for a while and realize that he is hauling ***. We're doing 40 or so, talking about the road and notice that he's sliding the flat trailer's he's pulling through really tight corners. Keep in mind. It's pitch black, blind corners, and damp. We were like, "Holy ****!" I planned a pass on a short down hill section and as I pull out, he whips over and blocks us. He tossed this truck from the far right to the far left lane doing 60mph as if he was in a car. We thought he was drunk, but he pulled into his ranch on the very next drive way.
It was a sight to see, but ruined the best section of the drive. No big! Saturday!

Alright, lets meet by Bahama Breeze. If Kunal or Dale goes, I'll get a ride with them. Otherwise I might not be able to make it because of early morning affairs.
