G/L BoostJunkie with the repairs.
Try Wheelworx in Millersville 410-969-7282 before you have HBL fix your wheel.

I tried. They didn't know if they could do it, so they told me it would be around $175 plus shipping. I thought, what the heck, might as well let HBL's guy take care of this one for the last time.

I do need a better service shop if anyone has suggestions. Thanks. Prefer dealerships, unless someone has better options.

Hey Berk. I would go to Funktion Auto in Dulles, VA given where you live. I prefer TPC in Jessup, MD a little better but that would be a haul for you. They are both great shops with a ton of Porsche knowledge.

Scott,
Thanks. I appreciate it. I'll check them out. Got the 30K coming up soon. Anyone know what I should expect at the 30K for an 03 C4S. HBL quoted $1200 and I think that's a little steep but i can be wrong.

$1200??? I'll take it... That's a lot better than the 993 C4S at about $3,000... Plus about $350.00 more because you should replace the plug wires too even though it's not called for in the main. man.

I had a great time meeting everyone and making the run...

Jason - I had to dip early - things to do (finishing my move-in).

Ken - Nice route!

Berk - Thanks for keeping me in the loop...

Maxwell, Van, Josh - Good seeing all of you again.

See you guys @ UMD on Sunday or again at the Rennlist meet on the 6th.

Berk, 1200 is high for the 30k. I paid 1k at Porsche of arlington for the TT. By the way, when you take your wheel in to get it fixed at the dealer, they're just sending it out to a wheel shop.

I just had a set of SSR GT3s reconditioned at Ye Old Wheel Shop in Elkridge. They went in rough (prior owner) and came out perfect (and I mean perfect). I was very impressed with their work - including re-polishing the lips to new chrome finish.

Thanks - I'm glad I asked. Who at Porsche of Arlington should I ask for? Is there one service guy better than the other.

I noticed that with the dealer as well. Some guy from alloy wheel repair or something like that came by to pick up the wheel and shipped it out to TX to get repaired. I'M NOT GOING BACK AGAIN!!!

Alan,
Thanks for the lead. I wish I asked before I gave the wheel to HBL. The good news is that I still need the other three to be refurbished from the curb rash from the previous owner.
