DCI is now official.

The inaugural event of the Drivers Club International (DCI) will be an exotic car show (ie, no muscle cars or antiques) at the Seminole Paradise / Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.

We will welcome 100 sportscars from all manufacturers. We'll award three People's Choice awards plus a Best of Show. There will be giveaways, Hooters Girls wandering around and Playboy Playmates will be on hand just looking fantastic. The event will coincide with the Hard Rock's Memorial Day weekend blowout.

DCI was formed by 5 6speed and rennlist guys - it is open to all sportscar owners and we will host DE events at Homestead, Sebring and Moroso, as well as fun runs, Tech Days, a Swap meet and who knows what else. Our motto is "We'll treat you right" Whether you are a second cousin to Ferry Porsche or just bought your first sportscar, we'll make you feel at home. Obviously, 6speed is a big part of all this, so we will do whatwe can to "give back" to this forum.

The show will run from noon to 6pm. You can get the cars into place around 10. All participants will take home a plaque and some cool stuff. Four cars will take home trophies. (3 People's Choice, 1 Best of Show.) There is a rumor that a Veyron will be there...

 

Seminole hard Rock Casino & Hotel CAR SHOW UPDATE

The on-line registrationn form will be functioning by this time tomorrow - please use it!!!!

Due to the great response, we have had to do two things:

1) cap the number of cars that can be shown at 90, and

2) raise the entry fee to $50 for pre-registration adn $75 for late entries.

HOWEVER -- all who have responded (we know who you are) are grandfathered in at the $15 amount.

We can hold the $15 fee until 10pm May 10, so if you're on th efence, get off it. The on-line registration form will work by tomorrow (thanks Rudy - you drive an NSX but we like you anyway), so go there to sign up. Pre-registration closes on May 20. Exotics only, please.

We'll have more announcements about sponsors as the week progesses. If you want to be a vendor, send me a PM and we can talk about it.

There will be a DCI booth, so you can come meet us and give us feedback, suggestions, complaints, free beer, photos of your girlfriends (as if we didn't already have them) etc.

Thanks, we think so too. Check out the site (driversclubinternational.com) the registration form should be working by tonight. If not, send a PM with car info. The registration fee bumps to $50 on Wednesday as we closer to the 90-car cut off.

The registration form is finally working. Please sign up now, as the fee goes to $50 on Wednesday. So far, two Miuras and a Ford GT are on board, as the standout cars, in addition to a slew of P-cars, Lotus', Ferraris, etc

The Hooters Girls adn the Playmates (yes, there wil be real Playmates wanderign around) are gonna love this.

UPDATE - The fee is held at $15. For which you get a DCI t-shirt and sticker, a bottle of Star Tron fuel additive and a commemorative plaque.
