I haven't got the whole trip done in my mind yet. We will be in the mountains and bring your sun screen. It's going to be hot.

Boxster Girls Go Kart does great in the 2nd gear stuff and she drives it smooth. I think she won her group at the lost AutoCross, so don't pick on her. It did lack a little Umph heading away from XXX the other week. But to her credit She didn't end up in Lake Easton 15 miles past the target.

 

gotta luv h2oskier! he has my back! all the boys here take good care of me! to gain and hold the respect of the guys w/ seattle 6speed is quite an honor. especially holding my own with a "go-kart". lol...i appologize for the lack of umph after XXX, LOL!.....my tach was completely pegged! hahah! i'd say time to buck up and bump up....but, for the daily driving that i do with "her", she sure puts a big smile on my face!

BTW, my hubby is going up partial way to see everyone off and take some pictures. then he's gotta head back. jason is riding with him to take some great pictures as well! i'll come along as well. =) but i'll be driving the go-kart. lol

 

wow....sounds like i should bring my medical bag and some penicillin tomorrow i'm excited that we are having a good turn out!

 

It looks like it's going to be fun. Just bring a notepad and you can right Dr notes for everyone.

Luckily for me, I have a very cool manager that just let me have the day off to go driving. She's into cars too.

 

Who says a go-kart is a bad thing? Maybe it’s like a 125cc shifter kart that can beat a Corvette and tops out at 160. Haven’t any of you heard of Kartvader? Just compared to a 997tt, you know what I mean. Ill be driving the white “go-kart� solo again.

Yeah, after I thought I got away from that park ranger, I got busted by the WSP on I-5 coming through Marysville. I could see that he was going to pull someone over. When all you guys suddenly braked, I had no choice but to change lanes to the right where the cop came up behind me. He initially was going to cite me for having no front license plate then he mentioned that there were about 5 911 calls about a group of Porsches speeding erratically weaving all over the place. He gave me a warning for the license plate and said that next time if we're caught there'd be a big fine for everyone. He let me go with a warning.

Good times everyone except for that run in with the Park Ranger and WSP. I'll post pictures soon.

 

Good! No ticket! I can believe him about the 911 calls though, 20 some porsches blowing by you at double the limit (or more) and accelerating at rates most people can't imagine and weaving probably freaked the "people who hate cars but still drive" (aka Toyota and Nissan Drivers) crowd.

 

Thanks for the fun drive. Sorry so many of us had to split out of there early. The trip down was alot more fun because there weren’t any wiley two wheelers. The group of us that left ended up catching Jason and we had our own little mini drive and photo shoot. (I expect some pics from a couple people). I flashed my bights, I think BoxsterGirlie was the only one who saw. I was pointing up at the helicopter doing air patrol. The Washington state patrol thought Atomic looked pretty cool and went in for a closer look. I just ignored the flashing lights and prayed. This happened a ways down from Smokey point. Hopefully you didn’t come away with any paperwork and the rest of you had fun and stayed out of trouble. The last time the judge saw me he asked two questions, how many tickets have you gotten? How long have you been driving? Both with that really surprised inflection in his voice. Thanks to H20skier for rounding us up for this midweek vacation. BTW I thought you were enjoying the single life? It was nice to see such a turn out and even some new people.

It really only wanted to go half way but a white 993 came along and gave it a nudge.

It’s down to 8 lives but is totally ok and Uninjured I assure you. I was directly behind David, it got spun around after getting the front left side of the bumper grazing its furry butt at what ever speed we were going. It jumped over the guard rail at went out into a field.

 

Just two things...

1 - Jason, that's what you get for evading the first one.

And no, I did not travel in excess of 175mph on the way down the mountain.

we're back!!! first...thank you mark for organizing everything! now THAT was worth...cough*....being sick over! i tried to warn the guys behind me w/ multiple hits on my break lights, but they didn't notice! haha! slowmotion...yes! i totally got your flashing lights and pointing upwards. unfortunately, the rest of the crew thought that you were just enjoying the beautiful scenery!


no worries about the cat. he want back and picked up the bird i hit. had himself some lunch.


i especially enjoyed the photoshoot midway down. ask jason! he's got some great shots! as much as the group photo was a "boxster girlie" thing....i'll still send it to everyone anyway! just PM me and give me your email addresses. i'll forward all pics to you!

Wow that was a long day. 450 miles

Mark, thanks for putting this drive together. It was a lot of fun. The ice cream was worth the drive. I will see if I got any good pictures when I get home. Had to stop by work for a few after that drive.
