Alex, you said it all!!!

I can't stop smiling...it was a great day regardless of the downpour. I think the rain made it special and even more memorable.

Thanks to you and Brian for an incredible day and thanks again Dave for the very cool decals. I have some left for anyone who didn't get one, just send me a Private Message if you'd like one.

Wow, love the photos in the rain...

Fitting that it was raining for the memorial drive and glad to see people coming out despite of it. Sorry we didn't get to meet everyone, here's a few pics from our camera, more at this >>> LINK <<<

Great to see everyone today. Really impressive how many people came out in the rain. We now know who's hardcore! Thanks Brian and Alex for making this happen.

A few of my favorites from today:

Mine's the blue M3 in the corner.

I enjoyed seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones.
Also, the rain was refreshing for a change.

Hey folks, I just wanted to say a few things.... First off all I'm simply amazed at how many of you folks showed up despite the worst weather we've had so far this year. The first year of rain (and dangerous too) and yet so many of you braved it and came out (Luis would have been proud!). It just goes to prove that us Bay Area Porsche owners are truly hardcore. Where else could you see a CGT (Fayence you get special harcore-browny points!), GT3s, RS', high HP 997TTs, high HP 996TT's, 993TTs, beautiful/classic 911s, modded 996s, modded 997s, modded Caymans and so many others out and about in the pouring rain at 8am on a Saturday? I told you that we would "own" Santana Row this Saturday although I didn't imagine it would be due to the rain Pure, utter Porsche-****.

I want to especially thank you for being responsible, careful and although we had one unfortunate incident (my pleasure with the help and so sorry about the bad luck) by in large we got there in one piece despite the elements. Thanks ladies & gents. Truly.

Also, thanks to Brian and _everyone_ at Carlsen Porsche for hosting us again this year. For four years we've been invading their lot and usually on a "wouldbe" busy day and eating/driving their food! The owners/staff always make us feel at home and this there is no other dealership in the Bay Area that could or indeed would support this type of event like that.

Thanks to Dave Hall at Motorsport Design for coming up with that awesome Decal in memory of Luis. You always do such fantastic work and you came through again.

Thanks to Mike@EVO (and John!) for getting our 3.8L GT800 car tuned and ready to go in time for today. I know many of you had questions for them on their day off about our car, their 700hp 997TT and then some... The GreatWhite is back in the bay area and let me tell you she makes the old black car feel like a nurse shark. I did not push it one iota out there today for obvious reasons but last night was enough to make me realize that it's quite a handful. She'll be living at the shop and has many of the newly added features that the EVO guys have put together in recent weeks to add to an already monstrous GT800 kit. The 3.8L kit has been a long, drawn out process that has given both SharkWerks & EVO some real food for thought. We both came up with the idea of getting the GT800 power level but with the spool up charachteristics similair to that of a GT700. I would say we we have tackled it head on and certainly gotten some great results thus far and in the coming weeks I'm sure Todd, Mike, James and I will have plenty to say on this topic so watch this space. In the meantime, feel free to drop by the shop and twist James' arm for a ride...

I promise we will do this again. To the folks that couldn't make it, believe me I completely understand and I _promise_ that when we do try this again it will be sunny and warm. I also wanted you guys to all know that after 150 cars I had stopped posting because it was just futile. Had it not rained today it we could have had as many as 240 cars out there (that's how many Emailed me saying they would come dependant upon the weather) and we obviously need a "bigger" boat if we're to attempt this again.

On a final note I am going to be submitting some of the best pictures to Modified Luxury & Exotics as they intend to cover the event. If you have any pictures that you would like to submit please send me an Email to alex@sharkwerks.com and I will see to it that you get credited for the work/submission. I think there's actually a good story that can be told about the Bay Area Porsche community coming together to remember a fellow modaholic in the pouring rain....

The weather looks clear for next weekend so so most of you on Saturday at Santana Row as usual and then on Sunday at the Danville Event. We'll be bringing the RS out as well this time along with a few mods to display

PS Gail, it was really so nice to see you out there and you know that you are absolutely welcome/invited to any/every event we have. As much as we all enjoyed Luis' company you're just as much a part of the Porsche community and always have been (just not as loud)!
Truly enough said! Again, this event really had something to say about all the Bay Area Porsche owner's class, enthusiasm, dedication and true love for the motorsport! Truly and amazing event! And a special thanks again for all who made this possible!!!

Luis, this one's for you. RIP brother. God speed guys!

I'm glad I woke up in time to join everyone. Great to see such a turnout despite the poor weather. Great cars and people as usual! Thanks to Alex and Brian for organizing.

Next thing we really need to do is a Track Day for just us Porsche guys like I did years ago.

Alex, lets look into doing this!

looking forward for the next one!

Judging from the pictures, it looks like you guys had a pretty good turnout considering it was raining.

Gotta love the Lime Green GT3RS
