I don't know who had the red 997 GT3, but that car is the hotness.

Not much of turn-out but it was nice meeting you guys as well.

The meet turned out great guys! Thanks to everyone that showed up.
We will be working on another one so, look for it! I know the drive was short but,
it was a lot of fun (when you don't slow down, haha). Some brutal twisties, hairpin turns and
switchbacks, but everyone cruised through them. I'm sorry to all those that took the Danville
enterance. We all took Walnut Ave and forgot to take into account there is also Walnut Blvd (Our
apologies).
It was great meeting all you and hope everyone
had a good time. Coming back down Nick got a ticket by the park ranger(doh!). Nick has the raw footage
and he's working on that. I uploaded some photos from the camera onto photobucket here; WalnutCreekEuro - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
enjoy!
BTW, if anyone else has photos, POST THEM UP! I'll be raiding the other forums as well for photos. Figure since this was a tester more ppl will show up now.

We're currently shooting ideas back and fourth for the next meet. If anyone has suggestions throw them my way. I know Saturday doesn't seem too ideal how does a Sunday sound or maybe a weekday to make things interesting? Also, was the 10 am meeting time good ? Should we go earlier or later ? Feel free to email me your suggestions! trv06kviper@gmail.com

Palmer over at Ferrari chat suggested we move it to a Sunday. Thinking the meet time was still good 10am but we'll make it on a Sunday. We all liked Broadway Plaza, but the only problem is we have to juggle with Nordstorms and Macy's as they like to hold events sometimes and the Broadway plaza ppl will probably kick us out in case of an event. Other than that, think it's a good central meeting area.
As for ppl showing up, they was a LOT going on that day and we're very lucky we had the showing we did. Fleet Week, Neillo Concourse, Track day at Infineion, Clayton October Fest and something else with the BMW ppl (BMWCCA or something). So, we'll be a little more observant for when we hold the next one.

Some pics

Sorry for delay in posting pics from last Saturday. Although a small turn out it is a start, but I was shocked that so many people bailed that were on the list, my wife and I were really looking forward to seeing more cars. But I did get a chance to meet and discuss this that and the other with some great people.

The drive-up to the top of Mt. Diablo was fun although it was speed controlled by other motorists, wardens and bikers.

Moving this meet to Sunday works for me and 10 am is a good time. This way I can sleep in on Saturday after a long week at work.

Yep I saw Nick get pulled over behind us right before the exit gate, not surprised since we passed a warden on the way down and then Nick came flying up behind us shortly afterwards, he probabaly didn't see the warden.

So lets get more participation !!! I mean I spent 18+ hours detailing the outside of my 8 year old car just for this event and was hoping to get more feedback on the result (Uncle Kraker, Emperor and Swede Matt???)

So on with the pics and I have made some notes

Ferrari 348

I like a lot...too bad it isn't Speed Yellow though. Thanks for bringing it out Ian

I forget what this is but it is pretty cool though, not good for those rainy days.

OK this BMW was nice but I had a problem with the wheels in that they stuck out further than the body and yet the tyres were so small on the wheels that they actually cleared the inside of the fenders, I believe the off-set is wrong...but hey maybe it's a BMW thing

The coolest BMW there and the wheel and tyre package was perfect.

Nice 997

Yours truly - damn the picture doesn't do the detailing job justice

More Pics

Small line-up of different cars

A couple of the Lotus Elise's. A bright green one turned-up just as we were leaving the parking area, that was pretty wild.
