Here is a quick fit up I did. Going to take some work. The bumper to the body is already pretty straight, but I had to remove all the ducting, the crash bar, the side flanges that hold the bumper (because they need modified ) and adding washers to brackets to make them work. I'm not a fiberglass guy, so I will have to take it to my body guy. But in the initial conversations with fx, there was no talk of having to cut alot of stuff. Not sure it's worth the trouble.
My issue with the 997 inspired designs is that they are too wide for the 996 fender profile.
Because of the wider track and front fenders on the 997, the bumper and more importantly the intake ducts are much wider. When installed on the 996 without narrowing the bumper, it looks too big/wide for the 996.
Take a look below at how much further the side intake ducts are set apart versus the 996 ducts. Also notice that the duct are almost wider than the front track of the car.
I like the look of the front end, I'm just not sure I like it on the 996.
Just my 2 cents.

The problem is that nobody really makes any new stuff for our car. Almost everything I have seen is just a modified version of a newer bumper. In this case, the 991. Honestly, I would just be happy with some new front lip options that dont look like cow catchers.
They fit all of it up before sending. They also include black aluminum mesh for the openings. Here is the splitters with leds in them. Not my car, but off the site. I should get mine tomorrow.
hmmm, not a fan of the LEDs in the rad openings. Much prefer the 997 turbo lamp housings. Do like the splitter.

Steve, very interesting comparison. Can you add a third image? I always liked the EVO bumper myself:
bo, thats the one i've been hankering after and can get from precision. if i ever pull the trigger perhaps we could get together a nice mini buy. i did get a one off "deal" on my strosek from em, so i know it is a "possible". the $$ for the upgrade and the time not having my car ( really! lol ) have been the only impediments to my doing it "yet"!
but that is my choice also, and i've seen it in person. i'm just not so sure about the clearance since i have hell to pay daily even running a 4s lip, which of course does not offer any more clearance except in the center section, but i'm like fred flinstone up here with the rocks, etc, so clearance is an issue around every turn.

x'lnt taste sir!
Definitely a future possibility Mark! Gotta figure out a way to pay Sambo for the 600WHP first... I did get the Strosek from them as well, as you may recall...? Getting old, I know...
