What is this bolt on the crankcase

Please don't flame the OP. Changed the front & rear diff fluid along with oil change. There is a bolt at the front of the crankcase. Can someone enlighten me as to what it's for. Just ahead of the aluminum tube. I did several searches to no avail. Thanks Viprklr

I think that is an oil pressure relief. There is a plunger and spring in there. There is one on top also. I had to switch mine over from my old trashed case.

So this isn't something you are going regularly be removing/reinstalling for any reason. I was doing the oil/diff change the other night & thought, holy crap did I forget to remove the oil/differential fluid from one of these bolts. Had me scared for split second.
