Cool Easy Newbie Question - Wheels & Tires

Any reason these would not be a great fit for a 996 Turbo?

RaceTech Forgred Track Spec 5 Wheels
18 x 8.5 Fronts
18 x 11 Rear

With Toyo Proxes R888
235/40/18
315/30/18

Any advice or recommendations on offsets or other details?

I like HRE Wheels, but HRE Options in 18" are very limited,

Thank You All,
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

you'll hate those r888 toyos. they are so loud, they growl like a bad wheel bearing.
not a good choice for a street tire.

+2. Just get Michelin PSS and be done.

I don't think PSSs are available in 295/30/18 or 315/30s.

The car in the pic is MotoJBs, and those wheels are the same spec as my Forgestars. +5mm offset over stock both front and rear.

We are both now running The Yokohama Advan Neova AD08Rs. An excellent choice if you want a very aggressive /grippy street tire and aren't interested in getting a ton of mileage out of them. I'm shooting for 6-7K miles, which is about 2 years for me.

The white car has 225/40s up front, 295/30s out back. both front and rear tires are 831 revs per mile.

I'm running 235/40s up front, 295/30s out back. 820 revs per mile up front, 831 out back.

I've now put a few hundred miles on these tires and while they're not Michelin quiet, they're not excessively loud and they stick like crazy.

These 235/40s are a perfect fit for 8.5" wheels.
